About me
I am a Senior Research Engineering Manager at Google where I develop state-of-the-art approaches to computer vision with the focus of people-centric understanding and biometrics. I lead end-to-end development from research inception (metric learning, large vision-language models) to high-impact product launches.
Before joining Google in 2011, I completed a two-year postdoc at the UCSD vision group, where I conducted research in unconstrained face and object recognition.
Previously, I graduated in 2009 with a DPhil from the University of Oxford in the Visual Geometry Group in. My thesis was titled Semantic Image Segmentation and Web-Supervised Visual Learning.
In my spare time I enjoy the California sun, beaches and the ocean.
